KAJ SEIFERT FOUNDATION FOR ASPIRING YOUNG ARTISTS 

 

Grant Application 

 

The grant funds are intended to assist the grantee with expenses related to trying a new form of artistic expression.  By way of example and without limitation, the funds may assist a grantee with the following:  an instrument, tap shoes, art supplies, camp tuition, video editing software, lessons, equipment, or an immersive summer camp—-many thing are possible with a little support from the Kaj Seifert Foundation for Aspiring Young Artists.

 

In accordance with the Foundation’s Grant-Making Policy for Individuals, all grants are awarded on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis under a procedure preapproved by the IRS.  Grant funds may be in the form of scholarships, fellowships, internships, prizes, and awards.  Grants are not reimbursements or compensation for any services.  No grantee or any person who assists the grantee with the Application will relieve reimbursement or compensation for services from the Foundation.

 

Grants Available: For spring and summer of 2023, the Foundation has limited available grant funds.  No cash will be distributed to the grantee directly.  Grants will be make in kind, in accordance with Part Two of this Application.

 

Grant Qualifications:

 

                1   The Applicant must be at least ten years old and no older than eighteen on the submission date (identified below).

                2   The Applicant must be a resident of the States of Montana, Idaho or Wyoming.

                3   The Applicant must identify a Mentor. The Mentor must sign this Application

                4   The Applicant must provide two references.  No signatures are required of the references

                5   The Applicant must submit a video application.

                6   This Application must be signed by the Applicant and his or her legal guardian.

Submission Date: All applicants must submit their 2023 spring and summer grant application by February 1, 2023 (“submission date”).  Applicants who are selected will be notified and will receive additional terms and conditions for acceptance of the grant prior to dispersal of grant funds.
